The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons
BAAPS Surgeons are committed to promoting excellence in aesthetic plastic surgery.
The British Association of Aesthetic Surgeons is a charity aiming to advance innovation, excellence, education and safety in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
The BAAPS is made up of highly qualified member surgeons who follow a code of practice and ethics to improve overall safety standards in the profession.
BAAPS members work to enhance the education of the public about Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and in particular the benefits and risks of different procedures.
BAAPS is the only organisation solely dedicated to safety and education in aesthetic surgery, and which represents the vast majority of NHS-trained Consultant Plastic Surgeons in private practice.
BAAPS Members have completed the highest level of training available in their field, and keep up to date with surgical advances by attending scientific meetings in the UK and abroad and participating in specific association activities like the BAAPS annual audit.
All new Membership applications are scrutinized by the Council of BAAPS and then voted on at the Annual General Meeting. BAAPS demands that its Members act ethically and with integrity at all times, and membership can be removed if there is evidence of continued failure to abide by this.
Diversity & Inclusivity
The BAAPS is committed to engendering a diverse and equitable environment where all individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute.
BAAPS has a rolling, annual membership diversity survey to better understand our community and identify areas for growth; this ongoing feedback informs our actions and helps us build a better workplace and inclusive society.
